                        Non-Executive Board Appointment

Computacenter plc, the European IT infrastructure services provider, announces
the appointment of Mr John Ormerod as a non-executive director of the Company,
with effect from 31 October 2006. On taking up this appointment, Mr Ormerod will
also become Chairman of the Audit Committee.

John Ormerod, aged 57, is currently the senior independent director of Misys
Plc. He is a non-executive director of Gemalto NV, where he chairs the Audit
Committee, and a member of the Audit Committee of HBOS plc. He is also a
director of several private companies. He had a long career with Arthur Andersen
culminating as the Regional Managing Partner UK and Ireland. Subsequently, he
moved to Deloitte as a Practice Senior Partner, London and a member of the UK
Executive Committee and elected Board. John has an Honours degree in Physics
from The Queen's College, Oxford
