                    COMPEL GROUP PLC

The  Board  of Compel Group plc ("Compel") has noted  the
announcement by Computacenter PLC concerning  its  recent
discussions with Compel.

The  Board  is  consulting its financial advisers,  Close
Brothers  Corporate  Finance Limited,  and  will  make  a
further announcement in due course.  In the meantime  the
Board advises shareholders to take no action.
